Dow Employee's Hunting and Fishing Club (DEHFC)
The Dow Employees Hunting and Fishing Club (DEHFC) was a facility located at Harris Reservoir just a few miles northwest of Angleton.
The 1700 acre lake featured fishing, duck hunting (in season), a kiddie pond, camping (primitive or with hookups), a clubhouse, fishing piers, trailer lots for rent (waiting list), boat docks for rent, dump station, showers and restrooms, and lots of wildlife.
All active Dow employees and retirees were eligible for membership. Membership included privileges for immediate family (spouse and children under 21 living at home). A small initiation fee and annual dues were required, as was a willingness to abide by the club's bylaws.
